Peter Amerman, DMin

Chair of Christian Studies

Peter Amerman is Department Chair and Professor of Christian Studies at Pillar College. Peter teaches Christian Doctrine and is also a teacher through Masterworks, a program that equips churches and church leaders in evangelism and discipleship. He has pastored four churches in the southern and northern New Jersey area for 42 years, including two church plants.

Professor Amerman’s passion is to train and equip other leaders in “whole-life” discipleship. He is the author of two books: “Mastering The Basics Bible Study Series” and “The Integrated Leader” (a study on the Book of Nehemiah). He also co-authored another book, a discipleship tool entitled, “One Telling One”.

Peter completed his Doctor of Ministry degree at Alliance Theological Seminary in Nyack, NY, his Master of Divinity at Lutheran Theological Seminary in Philadelphia, and his BA in Religion/Philosophy at Roanoke College in Salem, VA.
