Dr. Chae is an Adjunct Professor. He received his Ed.M. in Psychological Counseling from Columbia University and obtained his PhD in Counseling Psychology from Seton Hall University. Thereafter, he continued post-graduate studies at Rutgers University where he completed a two-year postdoctoral research fellowship in Forensic Psychology. Dr. Chae has held academic appointments as an adjunct faculty at Seton Hall University, Assistant Professor at both William Paterson University and Rutgers University, New Brunswick, as well as Associate Professor at Rutgers School of Health Sciences, Newark, NJ. He has published 28 peer-reviewed articles and book chapters, presented over 100 papers at professional conferences, and served as co-editor of the book, Culturally Responsive Counseling with Asian American Men (Routledge). In addition, he has served on editorial boards of professional counseling journals including the Journal of Counseling & Development (2009-2015), Journal of Multicultural Counseling & Development (2008-2012), Counseling & Values Journal (2009-2012), and the Journal of Applied Rehabilitation Counseling (2011-2013). A professional member of both the American Psychological Association and the American Counseling Association, Dr. Chae is a Licensed Professional Counselor and National Board-Certified Counselor (NBCC).
