Marie Chiara is an adjunct professor and English as a Second Language/English as a Foreign Language instructor for Pillar’s T15 and Programa BLEND. She describes herself as a “student of culture,” and has been teaching ESL/EFL for more than 10 years. Marie has also taught ESL classes at Raritan Valley Community College’s Workforce Training Center since 2019, and was a missionary and EFL instructor and learning center director in Siem Reap, Cambodia from 2013-2018.
Marie is an active member of CELT (Christian English Language Educators Association) and TESOL (Teachers of English to Speakers of Other Languages). She is also involved with international mission work, particularly in the least-evangelized parts of the globe. Marie has a Bachelor of Arts in Intercultural Studies from Lee University, Cleveland, TN (2008) and a Master of Arts in TESOL from Biola University, La Mirada, CA (2020).
