Ella D. Thompson Suggs, MBA

Born and raised in Newark, Ella Denise Thompson Suggs joined Pillar College in 2015 as an Adjunct Professor in General Studies. Three years later, she became the LEAD (Life Enhancing Accelerated Degree) Academic Advisor for the Pre-LEAD and LEAD students. Ella loves to assist students academically, socially, and professionally. She is fully dedicated to helping her students learn, graduate, and evolve into successful, transformational leaders.

Ella earned her Bachelor’s of Science Degree in Industrial Management with a concentration in Marketing Management from the New Jersey Institute of Technology (NJIT), and a Master’s of Business Administration (MBA) in Managing the Global Economy from Excelsior College, Albany, NY.  She also has a certificate in Visual Communications (Graphic Design) from Gibbs College in Montclair, NJ. Before joining the Pillar family, she worked at the Prudential Insurance Company for 17 years.
