Dr. Kenneth C. Welch, Jr. is an accomplished academic leader and visionary educator whose career blends scholarly excellence, organizational leadership, and a steadfast commitment to Christ-centered higher education. With more than two decades of experience across K–12 and higher education, he has demonstrated success in institutional growth, faculty development, and program innovation, all rooted in biblical values and academic integrity.
As the former Principal of Dawn Treader Christian School, Dr. Welch provided strategic oversight of K–8 academic operations, ensuring alignment with ACSI accreditation and New Jersey state standards. His leadership emphasized faculty empowerment, curriculum development, student achievement, and community partnerships that strengthened both educational quality and ministry impact.
Dr. Welch previously served as Adjunct Professor at Fairleigh Dickinson University, Rutgers University, NJIT, and Pillar College, teaching graduate and undergraduate courses in business, strategic management, leadership, organizational behavior, and Christian counseling. His instructional philosophy integrates faith and learning, equipping students to lead with intellectual rigor, professional excellence, and spiritual depth.
A proven administrator, Dr. Welch has experience in accreditation compliance, strategic planning, budget management, and faculty development. He holds a Ph.D. in Leadership and an M.A. in Christian Studies from the University of the Cumberlands, an accredited MBA with Beta Gamma Sigma honors from NJIT, and a B.A. in Liberal Studies from Thomas Edison State University. His leadership embodies the mission of Pillar College—cultivating excellence, advancing diversity, and equipping servant leaders for Kingdom impact through academic innovation and faith-integrated education.
