Alexandra Resto, MBA

Director of Programa BLEND and Paterson Campus

Alexandra Resto was born and raised in the Dominican Republic, where she served in the National Police Academy. In the early 2000s, she visited the United States and met the love of her life, Mr. Angel Resto. The couple wed and are now proud parents of two children, Alexander and Matthew.

After moving to the United States, Alexandra worked in industrial factories and daycare centers. Adjusting to a new culture and language posed significant challenges, but she persevered.

In 2015, Alexandra’s life took a transformative turn when she was presented with an opportunity to join Pillar College’s Programa BLEND (BiLingual ENtry Degree Program). This unique program enables Spanish speakers to study entirely in their native language while earning college credit and learning English as a second language.

In 2017, Alexandra earned her Associate in General Studies. Determined to continue her education, she obtained her Bachelor of Arts in Administration with a concentration in Management in 2019. During her academic journey, Alexandra received several prestigious honors, including:

  • The Business Administration Award
  • Delta Epsilon Chi and Association for Biblical Higher Education Honors Society recognition

Alexandra also served two terms in the Student Government as Treasurer, where her contributions earned her the Pillar College Student Life Servant Leadership Award.

Currently, Mrs. Resto is one of the top recruiters at Pillar College, where she empowers students facing language barriers, just as she once did. Her hard work and dedication have earned her multiple accolades, including:

  • 2nd Place Top Sales Recruiter Award
  • Leadership Award
  • Rising Star Award
  • 2nd Place Top Referral Award

Beyond her work at Pillar College, Alexandra serves on the board of events at her church, Iglesia Centro Bíblico La Hermosa, where she organizes initiatives to support the community in Passaic and contribute to the church's building fund. Alexandra is also the CEO of an event planning business she runs with her husband, bringing their clients' visions to life.

Currently in her final semester of the MBA in Social Sector Management program at Pillar College, Alexandra is excited about helping her community. She is particularly passionate about supporting families in need, especially those who struggle to feed their children, a cause she believes is often overlooked by government programs.
