What does Pillar College Mean to You?: During Women’s History Month, I thank Pillar College for its validation of community by offering an avenue to commemorate the value of all women. A critical examination of the experiences of some of these women have led me to agree with the quote that “Your value does not decrease based on someone’s inability to see your worth” (author unknown). The immediate value of some women was obscured by principalities and powers that relegated them to the margins; rendered them invisible; silenced their voices and refused them a seat at the table. They were the symbolic “green eggs and ham” of culture .refusing to be trampled, rose to majestic heights of splendor and created pathways for women’s liberation and empowerment.
