The Salvation Army New Jersey Division hosted a Christmas Shop in partnership with supported by volunteer teams from Pillar College and other area anchor organizations at Newark’s Ironside Building and gave away thousands of toys and clothes so more than 800 children from the Newark region could receive gifts for Christmas. Martha Martin and Amy Huber represented Pillar College and served as personal shopping assistants helping the parents make their selections.
“Thank you to all who contributed gifts for the Angel Tree Toy Drive, said Huber, Vice President of Academic Affairs & Student Engagement. “The Salvation Army team was grateful for Pillar College’s partnership. I hope this will become a Christmas outreach that the Pillar College community will support annually.”
