Pillar College faculty members Visit Kenya

Pillar College faculty members visited Kenya in December to explore partnerships with colleges in Africa that include Africa International University, Pan Africa Christian University, and Daystar University.

Dr. Keith Brewer, a Pillar College Professor of New Testament on sabbatical in Kenya, served as host and coordinator of several meetings attended by members of the Pillar delegation, including Dr. Maxine Bradshaw, Dr. Brian Rawls, Dr. Joanne Noel, Julia Missie, and Dr. Rosette Adera. Dr. Adera, who has strong roots in Kenya, took the lead in productive discussions with faculty and administration at both Pan African Christian University and Daystar University.

Dr. Noel, who also has travelled extensively in Africa, described the December trip as “a scintillating experience” for the Pillar team. “Participating in various activities and events enabled us to learn the rich history and culture of Kenya that brought alive this nation’s heritage and grandeur,” she said. Dr. Noel also credited Dr. Brewer for being “so accommodating in introducing the faculty team to various cultural activities that included a discussion with academic leaders at Africa International University.”
